I recently stayed at Retreat Villa in Carlingford and had a fantastic experience. The location is excellent, within walking distance of the town centre and close to Skypark by car. The house itself is spacious and the rooms are well-appointed. I especially liked the secure and convenient lockbox on the door. The kitchen was spacious and fully equipped, making it easy to prepare meals. The owner was also very pleasant and accommodating in all our communications.

Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like! 😊

The shabby chic decor and roses added a charming touch, while the cream painted floors and beautiful rugs created a cozy atmosphere. The beds were comfy and warm, and the black out curtains ensured a good night's sleep. The 2 bathrooms and attic room were perfect for our needs. The walled garden was ideal for our dogs. The location in Carlingford village was excellent, making it easy to explore the area.

Anna Marie was friendly and accommodating throughout our stay, allowing us to check in early. I would definitely choose to stay at Retreat Villa again.

The lack of clear instructions for using appliances and managing the heating system was a bit frustrating. It would have been helpful to have a booklet or guide to reference.

We had the most amazing romantic escape in a beautiful cottage. The location was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views all around. The cottage itself was well-maintained and clean, making our stay extremely comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised by the helpfulness of the owner, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. We felt right at home and would definitely recommend this place to anyone seeking a romantic getaway.

The third room did not have the four single beds as advertised. There were only three beds and a camp bed, which was uncomfortable and broken.
